Role Definition
We are a full services Product Design and Development Company working in the areas of Product design development and realization. We are looking for individuals to be part of this creative and dynamic team.

As a Senior Industrial Designer at Axiom India, you will own the Industrial Design  strategy and execution at Axiom. Being a team player is pivotal to the role which involves interaction with various teams within Axiom and with customer’s team. You will work closely with Axiom's Sales, Design, Development and Prototyping teams to help realize new products. Candidates with industry experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Program Management with updates for all stakeholders
• Working with cross functional teams

• Industrial Design concepts development

Requirements:

• Product Design from premier institutes such as NID and IITs
• The candidate needs to be well versed in product design methodologies.  
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Demonstrated ability for physics based problem idealization
• Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in a market.
• Understanding of Axiom's values towards customers and product development in particular.

Firmware Engineer :

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
• Work jointly with integrated customer’s T&D Hyderabad and US Design teams
• Design, development Software for embedded applications as well for
troubleshooting, resolving issues and enhancing existing applications designed
using Assembly and C Languages
• Hands on experience in Design, Development of embedded software
applications using C and Assembly.
• Expert in embedded, processor and micro controller fundamentals
• Expert in 8 bit/16bit /32 bit Micro-controllers Firmware design and development
• Experience in NEC, Teridian, Freescale, Reneses, ARM(NXP and ST) and other
advanced cores
• Expert in compiler fundamentals and should have hands on exp in compilers like
KEIL, IAR, PM+ and other RTOS compilers
• Working knowledge on Development & Debugging Tools such as Emulator ,
Simulator and C Compliers and Testing tools like Logic analyzer, Oscilloscope and
Function Generators
• Responsible for Technical Risk Analysis and Mitigation of modules developed
• The candidate should have very good understanding of communication protocols
concepts, design and development
• Should have designed and implemented one or two communication protocols
• Expert in peripherals communication protocols like I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485..
• Exp in ANSI c12.18, c12.19 and DLMS/COSEM is plus
• Exp in Modem, Modbus, ZIGbee, Homeplug and SEP2.0 is plus
• Working knowledge on Metering Domain will be an added advantaGe.
• Knowledge on Metering standards IEC/ANSI is plus
• Experience in software simulation for embedded Firmware development is plus
Qualification / Requirements
• Masters /Bachelors degree or PhD in engineering or computer/electronic science
with 4- 8 yrs of experience
• Strong programming skills in C and Assembly language programming - expert in
optimization methodologies
• Expert in code optimization and algorithms development
• Expert in Firmware architecture design and development
• Should have at least one or two architectures designed and implemented for non
RTOS based systems
• Expert in RTOS based development and should have ported latest two rtos into
any microcontrollers
• Strong debugging and Memory analysis skills
• Exp in Software security - encryption algorithms
Exp in Firmware boot loaders development and Firmware upgrade
ADC algorithms, Optimized Math calculations, Embedded database and file system
Understanding of version/configuration control concepts and the need for accurate
tracking of software updates and releases
Knowledge of Windows and PC/desktop environments, Client/Server design is an
advantage .
Exp in Visio, Configuration Management and requirement management tools
Strong understanding of SDLC process and knowledge on Agile/XP is a plus.
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.

FEA :

Expert-level competence with LS-Dyna and ABAQUS Explicit

Expert-level competence with ABAQUS Standard. Experience with LS-Dyna
(new implicit capability) is a nice-to-have.
Understanding of contact algorithms/parameters.
Understanding of non-linear material modeling, including rate and
temperature dependant materials (e.g. polymers).< /span>
Understanding of contact interactions, specifically various friction
models available, and friction model parameters.
Expert-level competence in the understanding of fundamental dynamics
and statics. This is key, as this foundational knowledge enables the
creation of efficient simulations. Know what physics need to be
included, and what physics doesn’t.
Ability to perform sensitivity analysis of any simulation input.
Understand industry-standard modeling techniques, including those used
to test model robustness. For example: mesh sensitivity studies, element
selection/formulation and the implications of using a given element
type/formulation.
Understand damping…material & numerical…and how/when to use it.
Understand mass scaling…and how/when to use it.
Expert-level competence in minimizing run-times for both implicit and
explicit models…without significant impact to model accuracy.
Expert-level competence of Hypermesh for pre-processing/meshing.
CAD
Competence in Solidworks and Catia
Ability to make simple geometry modifications.
Experience with simplifying/modifying surface geometry (important for meshing).
Ability to clean-up CAD files…sometimes we get IGES files which need
significant surfacing work before meshing is possible.
Ability to change dimensions in parametric CAD files.
Understanding of constraints/rules in parametric CAD files.
Ability to create constraints/dimensions to parameterize an existing
CAD file.
· Automation/Customization
Ability to automate repetitive tasks or automate the creation of input
decks is a skill that we’d take advantage of, if it exists.
· Work Process
Ability to post-process virtual DOE’s for a given simulation type.
Ability to map the response envelope of a given model, based on
virtual DOE results.
Ability to identify worst-case scenarios, given virtual DOE results
and a success criteria
