A North American cosmetics major wanted to introduce a stick deodorant product based on a new formulation. A new package was developed to deliver this product formulation with improved seal integrity and better ergonomics

Axiom was contracted to develop this package ground up starting with concept development, and ergonomics study using mockups. Several dispensing mechanisms were designed and virtually simulated.

The short listed mechanisms were prototyped and tested. Customer has filed a joint patent with Axiom for this unique mechanism

Result :

• The new package had 50% Improvement in Seal Integrity and added to significant cost savings by eliminating 1 component ad assembly from the previous design
• The consumer studies showed that the new design had better shelf presence and significantly improved Ergonomics
