A North American startup developed a breakthrough idea for delivering clean water using hand crank power. This device was used for rapidly and effectively purifying water contaminated with bacteria, protozoa, and other viruses without using chemicals or battery power.

The operation includes pouring water into the device and is cleansed through by an encased fluorescent ultraviolet bulb. These bulbs are powered by hand crank dynamos.

Axiom was contracted to design and develop a portable, easy to use water purification system using ultraviolet (UV ) filtration technology
