Zigbee Based RTLS A security products major in North America wanted to develop a new range of security products that helps track real time movement of merchandise within a store

Axiom developed an Real Time Location Tracking System (RTLS) system using Chipcon range of RF chips from Texas Instruments. The initiative started with establishing feasibility of using Chipcon's Zigbee based location detection system and developing an RTLS application using this technology.

After establishing cost and technology feasibility detailed EE design which includes hardware design, PCB development considering RF and digital components on the same board, Firmware design and development and rigorous filed testing and optimization for location accuracy, mechanical design and development for all enclosures.

A software interface was developed for complete integration of the RTLS application and ease of use for the security staff using a intuitive user interface. The software was developed using .NET platform on Windows Vista
