Technology Focus
A key differentiator at Axiom is our strong technology focus. Axiom’s deep and varied expertise in short range wireless communication, RFID for asset management, mechatronics, power systems design and development and our firmware and software experience on various Protocol stacks (Zigbee) makes us a unique development partner. In addition, Axiom’s expertise in this area is second to none and has been widely acknowledged. Our partnership with Texas Instruments leverages this expertise to offer solutions to 3rd parties.
Low Income Markets Focus
As part of our innovation focus, we continue to build on our expertise and experience with emerging markets. Designing for Low Income Markets is often a trapeze act and many corporations struggle with the question of whether to de-feature an existing product or design ground up for these markets. Axiom has conducted various experiments with consumers to understand the innovation process for such markets. I’d also like to share two recent developments which strengthen our customer facing operations as well as assert our commitment to delivery excellence.
Bob Tate joins as President of Axiom Consulting, North America
Prior to joining Axiom Bob was Director for Global Packaging and Device Development at Procter and Gamble. Bob was and is one of our earliest believers and his addition to our team significantly strengthens our customer facing organization. Bob will be based out of Cincinatti Ohio.
Vidyasagar joins as Director of our Embedded Practice
He will also be building Axiom’s Medical Devices practice. Prior to joining Axiom, Vidya was heading the product development organization for Biogenex, a Chicago based company developing equipment for Cancer Diagnostics. Vidya will also be leading our initiatives in Delivery Excellence. He will be based out of Hyderabad.
I’m happy to announce the opening of our new office in Cincinnati and our new delivery center in the city of Hyderabad. An hour’s flight from Bangalore, Hyderabad has a rich ecosystem ideal for expanding delivery teams. In addition, I’m also happy to note that we have moved into a new prototyping facility in Bangalore.
